FireAde 2000 has multipurpose
functions and eliminates the need to stock various different agents
for different kinds of fires. The cost of buying and storing agents
for every situation will total more than any similar single quantity
of FireAde 2000.
Also, because FireAde
2000 will knock down fires up to six times faster
than UL 162 rated Class B Foam and will use up to six times less
medium, there are other cost benefits related to product consumption,
manpower deployment and damage limitation. Because foam needs
frequent applications to maintain a barrier layer over a fire,
FireAde 2000
is far more economical as it would only require one application
to totally extinguish the same fire. Also, less water and faster
knockdown times mean less water damage and less clean-up costs,
less wear and tear on equipment, less economical loss and less
insurance risk and liability to fire-fighters and property owners.
FireAde
2000
contains no elements reported under the Superfund Amendment and
Reauthorisation Act (SARA) Title III, Section 313 of CRF-372 or
the Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) of July 1, 1995.
FireAde 2000
is able to decay rapidly in the environment, causing no harm to
plants, animals or any other parts of the environmental structure.
FireAde 2000 has a low BOD
/ COD (low oxygen demand) requirement and, under RCRA CFR261 regulations,
it may be discarded safely as a non-hazardous waste product.
FireAde 2000
is well below toxic levels on acute toxicity tests.
FireAde 2000
is no more corrosive than potable water and has a virtually neutral
pH value of 7.2 (water is 7). It is also 30 times less corrosive
than AFFF Foams and is therefore much more beneficial to delivery
systems and to structures and property involved in a fire.
FireAde 2000's
integrity is not diminished by rain or windy conditions; in fact
the emulsification process will be enhanced by heavy rain. Other
products on the market, based solely on a foam blanket, can be
adversely affected by poor weather conditions.
FireAde
2000 is non-corrosive to gaskets, fire hoses, nozzles,
sprinkler systems and fire fighting apparatus. Because it has
lubrication qualities, the product has a beneficial effect on
hardware life expectancy. A single water flush effectively cleans
equipment.
Because FireAde 2000 may be
diluted with potable water, sea water or brackish water, equipment
can be replenished from any convenient water supply.
FireAde
2000
may be used with standard equipment provided the equipment is
primarily designed to utilise water or foam as a medium of fire
control such as:
NOZZLES (aspirated and non-aspirated nozzles, foam tubes and multi-purpose
jet spray and fog nozzles).
EDUCTORS (inline, by-pass etc.)
PROPORTIONERS (on board, around the pump etc.)
PRE-MIXED (in portable or fixed tanks etc.)
FireAde 2000
concentrate and dilutions have an unlimited shelf life. Once
premixed with water, at the desired percentage, the mixture will
not separate.
FireAde 2000 has the ability
to eliminate or reduce smoke toxins, flammable vapours, radiant,
and ambient heats which may be hazardous to operational personnel
as well as casualties.
