This
test demonstrates the marked difference between the cooling efficiency
of FireAde 2000 and Foam.
The test sample
was 2 pieces of 3" diameter x 1/4 " steel bar. One held in a steady
flow of foam and the other held in a steady flow of FireAde
2000. The starting temperature was over 1112 Degrees
F / 600 Degrees C and the test period was 60 seconds.
Almost instantly
(1 second) FireAde 2000 cooled
the test piece to a temperature not likely to cause re-ignition
and to a temperature that enabled safe handling and clean-up.
The foam cooled the test piece at a far slower rate and significantly
more foam over a greater period of time would have been required
to match the low temperatures achieved by FireAde
2000
