In
co-operation with TUV (Produkt und Umwelt) in Cologne, Germany,
we have
successfully achieved certification for the WGK (Wassergefahrdungsklasse)
classification of chemical effects on the environment. FireAde
2000 has obtained
WGK 1 classification, which is the best result possible for a
test of this type.
These rigorous tests are based on the international OECD guidelines
for chemical
testing and are as follows:
OECD 203 "fish test"
OECD 202 part one (48h) "water flea test"
OECD 423 "toxicity test"
Test are carried
out on 100% concentrate of FireAde 2000
but, as FireAde 2000
is
regularly used in dilutions of less than 6%, there is no doubt
that it is
environmentally friendly and, unlike many conventional fire fighting
mediums
such as AFFF foams, has little or no impact.
