FireAde
2000's emulsification properties
are based on the arrangement of molecules which allow FireAde
2000,
water and a flammable liquid e.g. gasoline, to mix and encapsulate
the hydrocarbon molecules. This encapsulation effectively de-natures
hydrocarbons and prevents ignition or re-ignition of the combustible
liquid. It is a highly developed, "State of the Art " Fire Technology.
FireAde
2000
reduces the surface tension of the water it is mixed with, typically
from 72-dynes / cm2 to 23-dynes/ cm2, providing an increase in
wetted surface area and also an improvement in penetration.
Put simply, FireAde
2000
mixed with water enables that water to work up to six times harder.
It covers more area, penetrates deeper into the surface texture
of burning materials and knocks down fires much faster than could
be achieved using water just by itself.
FireAde 2000, by
its nature of increasing relative wetted area, and by the higher
latent heat of evaporation value compared with that of water,
has a dramatic cooling effect on fuel and non combustibles alike.
The practical application of this will be observed by fire-fighters
wishing to handle previously hot objects only seconds after extinguishment.
Although not specifically formulated as a foam
and not as as limited as a foam, FireAde
2000, used in Foaming Equipment, will produce and maintain
a foam blanket covering the fire and effectively depriving it
of oxygen.
